A GAME OF DEATH
Jeff McKay | 1986 | 13 min | B&W | 16mm
1986.
My first 16mm film.
Wrote it in 10 minutes.
Inspired by cliché British spy films.
My friend Perry M. Stratychuk shot it.
Did exactly what I hoped for.
Shot on colour KODAK 7291 film and printed it B&W.
Many layers of saran wrap stretched over the lens.
Accepted to many, many film festivals.
Here’s a list of them:
1987 – Honorable mention, American Film and Video Festival, New York, NY
1987 – Certificate of Merit, Yorkton Short Film Festival, Yorkton, SK
1987 – Invited to Toronto Festival of Festivals, Canadian Film Institute, British Film Institute, Mill Valley Cal, Edinburgh Film Festival, Vancouver Int. Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, Tehran Film Festival
It’s a fun short film.
Watch it if’n you want.
